Jared or Colin

Can you tell which is which?

Okay, if I could have got Colin to lay his head back, it would have looked even better. I had to take about 20 pictures to get even close.

Three months old

Colin is three months old today. He is the sweetest baby, and is turning out to look so much like Jared. I will have to post some baby picts of Jared just to show you what I mean. He's continuinig to get chunkier too. I would guess he weighs about 15 lb.s now. He's talking more and laughing now too which cracks me up when he does it.He is a very smiley, happy baby! He's starting to get the hang of grabbing onto things, and putting things in his mouth. He has started bypassing the pacifier for his hands and thumbs too. Every now and then (including the last two nights) he will sleep through the night, great news! Jackson has more and more fun with him everyday and can't wait until Colin's big enough to play with him.

Videos of Jackson...

This was the day before Valentine's Day. We met a few friends at the new park. Jackson has his own way of doing everything, and his favorite thing at the park are the swings. I have a few more videos, but I can't post them yet, will post soon.

Valentine's

This year we had a nice Valentine's Day. I think it was the first year that Jared actually thought about celebrating it, which was nice. Not that we've never done anything for V-Day in the past, but this year was just a little more special I guess. It all really started on Friday. Jared, for day's, had been wanting me to open my Valentine's Day present, so he gave it to me in bed to open before he left for work. It was a really nice HD video camera, but it's like the size of a cell phone. It's pretty cool though, the quality is so much better that my regular camera. So, hopefully I''ll be posting some better videos on here. Then a little later, the boy's and I met some other moms with kids from church at the park that morning. After we left I took the boy's to the Ceramic Shop on Main Street, I had an idea. I (with a lot of help from Maria, the lady that owns the shop), had big cups made with Jackson's hand print, and Colin's feet prints. We did three of them. One for each grandma, and one for Dad.

It ended up taking a lot more time than I had originally thought, but it was worth it.

While at the ceramic shop, Jared called to see what I was doing. He was disappointed to find out that I wasn't at home, because he said that a package for his dad was being delivered to the house. When I got home there was a box of flowers on the porch that I didn't realize were for me until I read my name on the box. They were so pretty and he had written a really sweet message to go with them. There was even a box of chocolates, even better!
Then later that afternoon, Sydney came by with all of her Valentines day stuff from school. She had a neat Valentine's foam card making set for Jackson to get creative with, okay, well me too! I probably had more fun that Jackson.
So by the end of the evening, we had decided not to go out. I asked Jared to tell me what he wanted for his Valentine's Day dinner, and we made a list. I, trying to be as quick as possible, ran to the store to get everything. Came back home and made dinner. It was really good, but it was like 9:30 by the time we got to set down and eat:) The menu consisted of a wedge salad with really yummy dressing and Parmesan. Steak and shrimp. That's Jared's steak, mine was not that big! And loaded mashed potatoes. All on a bathroom towel on he living room floor watching a movie. I think it turned out to be a pretty good Valentine's Day!

He's now official.

This last Sunday was the day Colin was blessed. It was such a nice day and Uncle Brian showed up to help with the blessing. Colin looked so cute in his outfit from Grandma Abraham! Jared gave the blessing, and did a wonderful job. It was such a special blessing! As the men were walking up to the front, Uncle Brian handed Sydney, Christy, and I pieces of paper to write on. I apparently had no idea what I was doing, but luckily Christy did. So I will use hers for future reference. Grandpa said that Colin kept his eyes open and paid attention the whole time and listened to every word Jared said. Brother Stutz admitted he opened his eyes at one point and saw Colin's big blue eyes staring back at him. It was a very special day. Here are a few pictures that we took afterwards.
